The Department of Justice and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) recently released the final version of their proposed rulemaking 2021R-05 which redefines firearm parts, potentially banning 80 percent lowers and causing supply issues in the firearms industry. The 364 page document was released on April 11th, 2022 and became effective on August 24th, 2022.
Are 80 Lowers Banned?
NO!
You may still purchase lower receivers which are explicitly protected in the language of the rule. Also, due to our recent injunction, all of our polymer frames and AR-15 80 lowers are able to be purchased alongside our jigs as well!
What Can I Do?
The Biden Administration is targeting the firearms industry, including our company, with the 2021R-05 ruling affecting various components and marketing materials. It's crucial for supporters of the 2nd Amendment to reach out to their officials and donate to organizations fighting for their values in D.C.
